Installing the Ravical Outlook Add-In

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for IT administrators to deploy the Ravical Outlook Add-In across your organization. Once installed, the add-in allows users to access Ravical’s agentic email assistant directly from Outlook .

Note: This guide reflects our early-stage configuration for pilot users. The process and required permissions may evolve as we continue to develop our system. 

Prerequisites 

Before proceeding, ensure you have: 

  • Microsoft 365 with Sharepoint Online. 
  • Global Administrator access to your Microsoft 365 tenant. 

Step-by-Step Deployment Instructions

  1. Open the Microsoft Admin Center
    • Navigate to Add-Ins:
      https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/#/Settings/AddIns
    • Click Deploy Add-In → Next

  2. Upload the Manifest File
    • Under Deploy a custom add-in, select Upload custom apps.
    • Choose: I have a URL for the manifest file
    • Paste this URL:
      https://outlook-add-in.prod.ravical.com/manifest.prod.xml
    • Click Upload
  3. Assign Users or Groups

    • Choose who will have access to the add-in (specific groups, departments or your entire organisation)
    • Click Next
  4. Review Permissions & Finish

    • Carefully review the permissions the add-in requests. These permission allow the add-in to interact with the user's mailbox and are required for full functionality.
    • Click Save
    ⏳ It may take 24–72 hours for the add-in to fully propagate.
  5. Grant Admin Consent

    This final step ensures the add-in is authorized to access required mailbox data.

    • Review the requested permissions
    • Click Accept
